Ready to bleat

There's been a bit of fuss lately in the free London 'newspapers' because some Pret a Manger sandwiches aren't made on the shop premises. They're put together at a larger branch and transported to smaller ones.

So? Does that make a difference? I mean, how fresh do you need?! They taste the same, you were oblivious two weeks ago and it's not as if they are stale or mouldy when they reach you. Really - just get over yourselves!

I don't care where they are made: I quite enjoy a nice Pret picnic somewhere nice in the warmer weather. What you want to worry about is when smokers come along and ruin your cosy spot!

Joyous photo-sharing!

If you're feeling bored or blue
Or find yourself with nowt to do
Visit Chortleberry.com - the new photo-sharing community website.

Yeah ... I never was much of a poet.

But anyway, Chortleberry is a thriving new site where you can post your own photos to share them with others, view the work of many other budding amateur photograhers and generally have a bit of a chat. It's all lovely and free, too.

This has nothing to do with food - unless you count the photos of eggs.

Eating dates

Veering away from food ever so slightly, just for a moment ...

If you haven't got a calendar for 2008 yet, or even if you have but it's really, really boring, perhaps you should consider buying this one. It's a full-colour entertaining calendar produced by Wheelybird, a regular contributor to b3ta, the infamous comedy website. Each month features a very funny illustration of a particular day, event or celebration. There's plenty of space for writing notes, too.

And it mentions tea several times, which is nice!
